About
I started making films casually back in 2014 and have been slowly building up my skills since. In late 2019, I started taking filmmaking more seriously and committed myself to working towards a competitive professional portfolio with the intent of entering a career in film.
I've worked hard to become a versatile filmmaker, levelling up my abilities in and knowledge of project management, writing, directing, cinematography, editing, sound design, score composition, and VFX.

"Nangs"
This is an unofficial music video that I made for a song that I like, Nangs by Tame Impala. I wanted to try creating a video with creative compositing, and to do so I combined some random B-roll on my camera with some new footage to create psychedelic imagery inspired by the song.

"Breaking Point" - STN 2021 Crazy 8 Contest (1st Place)
This is a film I made with some of my classmates for our entry to Student Television Network's Crazy 8 national film contest in which we were given 8 hours to write, shoot, and edit a film based on their prompt. Aside from writing, I shot and edited the film.
"Wandering"
This is a short film I spontaneously wrote, shot, and edited alone in a couple hours one night. The film was chosen as one of the winners of the 2021 Luminescence Student Film Festival.
"Temporal"
This is a short action sci-fi film that my friend wrote. It was the first short film that we'd actually written and planned out in its entirety, and was also a test of our ability to execute our script in addition to being practice for my VFX and editing skills. It also was a test of our ability to choreograph a fight. I was the assistant director, cinematographer, and editor.

"JT Bard's Pro Brother Simulator"
This was a test video that I made in which I used VFX to put my brother in a real-life video game menu. I filmed him against a green screen then replaced the background with a 360-degree image to place him in a location I wouldn't have access to otherwise.

"Micky B - Jewelry (feat. King Duggan, J-Tizzle, RZA)"
This is a music video I made for an English project where we had to act out a scene from Macbeth. We decided to be cool and instead make a rap video, given that Shakespeare's writing needs pretty much no modification to sound good.
